The Bridgeport Soccer Association (BSA) would like to thank you for your continued support. The BSA Board has outlined a few things below that parents should be aware of while your child/children are participating with us.
When Does Soccer Start?
BSA offers two (2) seasons of "recreational" soccer:
Practice and Games for the Fall Season will begin in late August and run through the end of October.
Fall soccer registration will open in mid-June and will run through the end of July.
Practice and Games for the Spring Season will begin in early April and run through the last week of May.
Registration Fees Per Season By Age Group
The registration fee helps covers some or all of the following items: WVSA registration fee, referee fees for the older divisions, uniforms (i.e. jersey, shorts & socks), equipment purchases, nets, field maintenance supplies (i.e. field paint), etc. Since U5 and U6 Divisions do not use official referees, BSA will provide medallions or trophies for players in these age divisions.
Items You Need to Supply for Recreation League Play
It is the parent's responsibility to provide the following items for your players:
Cleats (Must be soccer cleats. No football or baseball cleats permitted.)
Soccer ball (Ball would be good for practices, but not necessary.)
U4 and U5
U6 and U8
Is Travel Involved?
Traveling out of county does not begin until the U10 Divisions.
Note: Travel within the recreation league does not denote Travel Teams or Leagues.
There is no smoking or alcohol permitted at the complex or any fields.
Parents must sit on opposite side of their child's team. (Not behind the goal line and goal box.)
No offensive or abusive language is to be used at the complex or fields.
Please visit and read through the BSA Code of Conduct. It provides valuable insights to you as the parent, the player, and the coach..
